About

Call for entries for the National Communications Session "Heritage and education in art museums".

The "Gavrilă Simion" Eco-Museum Research Institute (ICEM) Tulcea, in partnership with the "Aegyssus" Regional Development Association, announces the start of registrations for the National Communication Session "Heritage and education in art museums". This eighth edition will take place on October 10 and 11, 2024, on the ground floor of the Tulcea Art Museum. Participants from outside the county will support the presentations online, and the event will be broadcast live on Facebook.

As in previous years, specialists from all over the country can register with works dealing with either conservation and restoration in museums, or museum education and marketing. All those interested in participating online can register for the event by sending the title of the communication and the method of presentation (recorded video, live-zoom or PowerPoint presentation), until August 31, 2024, to the e-mail address: arta@icemtl .ro, by completing the registration form that can be downloaded from here.

"We started in 2017, with 12 participants. Between 2020-2023, editions in hybrid format but predominantly online, we had 29, 41, 29, respectively 34 participants, from pre-university and university teachers, to museographers, conservators, restorers, cultural managers and even artists," reports Alice-Georgiana Fănaru, ICEM museographer and coordinator of the event since the first edition.

All presented works will be published in DOBROART - Yearbook of the Tulcea Art Museum - No. 8.
