„Tu și Tulcea” - The local tourism brand
The new local tourist brand of the Municipality of Tulcea was launched on April 26, 2024 through a press conference held by Ștefan ILIE (mayor of the Municipality of Tulcea and initiator of the OMD project), Nicu BIBU (City Manager Tulcea), Alexandru FILIP (manager OMD Tulcea) and Mugur PĂTRAȘCU (communication & branding specialist and creator of the visual identity).
The research that was the basis of the brand
Conducted through an online questionnaire addressed to Tulcea residents, this research identified the main tourist attractions and attributes that Tulcea residents associate with Tulcea. The period of collecting the answers was November 20 - December 10, 2023, and the approach enjoyed increased interest, the questionnaire being completed by more than 1000 people. This fact proved the great interest of the citizens in the tourist development of the municipality of Tulcea, and the establishment of the Management Organization of the Tourist Destination Tulcea Municipality came to meet this need identified by the residents. The start of the brand
The realization of the local tourist brand represented the first step in adopting a professional approach to the promotion and development of tourism in the municipality of Tulcea, an objective assumed by the Management Organization of the Tourist Destination Tulcea Municipality. The success came after a sustained effort of several months in which the members of the OMD, i.e. the representatives of the HoReCa private environment, actively participated.
