"Ivan Patzaichin" Festival – RowmaniaFEST @ 29 – 31 August (Tulcea) & Ivan's Delta Caravan @ 31 August – 2 September (Tulcea – Mila 23)
A major event, this year reaching its 14th edition, promotes the city of Tulcea as a tourist destination, attracting a large audience every year for a weekend as long as a vacation, with many activities: rowing competitions, workshops for children, outdoor film screenings, exhibitions, local gastronomy, debates on topics relevant to Tulcea and the Delta and rock'n'row concerts.
The festival ends, as every year, with the United Waters of Romania Caravan, in an exercise in slow tourism (as a vision of responsible behavior), on the "Ivan's Delta" ecotourism route, approximately 50 km long, which connects the Memorial dedicated to Ivan Patzaichin, on the Tulcea Seafront, to the Ivan Patzaichin Museum at Mile 23. Approximately 100 participants travel this route in canoes, kayaks and SUPs.
