Festival of the Rusalii Smelts — 2026 Edition

With young and old alike, we invite you again this year to Scrumbii de Rusalii (May 29 – June 1, 2026).

The festival celebrates the region’s valuable local gastronomy, featuring grilled, smoked, or marinated smelts, fish soups, Dobrujan pies, baklava, preserves, artisan products, local canned goods, cheeses, and traditional dishes from the Danube Delta and the surrounding area. Naturally, Dobrujan wines will accompany us throughout this journey of tastes and senses.

Equally, the festival is dedicated to the artistic heritage of the local ethnic communities. That means we’ll enjoy live music, high-quality shows, and all kinds of workshops and activities for children (and not only), all in a relaxed atmosphere.

In short, these will be the ingredients of the four festival days, which began two years ago as “Scrumbii de Florii,” and was expanded and reimagined last year and this year as “Scrumbii de Rusalii.” Admission is free!
