On September 26 (Saturday), at 10:00, we will meet again at Casa Avramide for a new Tulcea Walking Tour with the theme “through the Greek slum”.
This new theme has opened up an area of the city that, although often crossed, often remains unnoticed. It is a space with layers of history and a discreet but important imprint left by the Greek community in the development of Tulcea. You will thus discover buildings, symbols and details that, looked at carefully, tell stories about the people, the community and the city of the past.
The meeting point is at Casa Avramide, the duration of the tour being approximately three hours. Participation is free, but places are limited. Registration is done by sending an e-mail to adrian.archivess@gmail.com

Launched in 2024 together with Adrian Dan from Urbea Dunării and developed throughout 2025, the project has already gathered around it a community increasingly interested in the stories of the city: 12 guided tours and over 500 participants last year alone – locals and tourists who chose to see Tulcea from a different perspective.
In 2026, Tulcea Walking Tour goes further and proposes a more varied program. In addition to the already well-known general route “Tulcea in two hours”, we continue exploring the historical neighborhoods of the city – Turkish and Lipovean – and this year, for the first time, through the old Greek neighborhood. In addition, we are preparing other surprises for you.
The Tulcea Walking Tour project is part of the OMD Tulcea Municipality's strategy to develop integrated tourism products, under the "You and Tulcea" brand, which will contribute to transforming the city from a transit point to the Delta into a tourist destination in itself.
